Public transport

• Subway line U2: Schottentor station

• From the main railway station: Use subway U1 towards Leopoldau, get off at the Karlsplatz station and change to subway line U2, then get off at the Schottentor station.

Car

Parking spaces: There is a limited number of parking spaces around the Main Building. Short-term parking (subject to charges) applies in the whole area from 09:00-22:00. The Votivparkgarage car park can be accessed via Universitätsstrasse (one-way street towards Universitätsring).

Delivery access: If you want to deliver something, please use the service road of Universitätsring (on the left-hand side in the direction of travel, access after Rathausplatz).

Train

Due to a cooperation with Deutsche Bahn, conference participants have the possibility to travel within Germany at a discounted fixed rate.

City Airport Train (CAT)

Take the CAT to "Bahnhof Wien Mitte" ("Landstraße")
Change to subway U4 (Direction Heiligenstadt)
Subway U4 to "Schottenring"
Change to subway U2 (Direction Karlsplatz)

"Schnellbahn" (= Suburban Train)

With the Schnellbahn (also called "S-Bahn") (Direction Wien Floridsdorf) to "Wien Nord - Praterstern"

10 minutes' walk

Duration: approx. 50 minutes

Vienna Airport Lines

Bus of Vienna Airport Lines to "Schottentor (Liechtensteingasse)"
